Anna Chronistic and the Scarab of Destiny (Ankaret Wells)

This is a light-hearted and extremely entertaining time travel story. Anna, who insists that she isn't a cyborg (she just has a time travel machine implanted in her spine), prefers to reside in 1860s Paris, but finds herself obliged to track down the titular scarab, helped/hindered by a member of the bureaucratic Timeguard. Her adventures take her to several millennia before the construction of the pyramids, into the far future, and all over Paris.

The most significant f/f element involves Helen of Troy, but Anna mentions various other lovers along the way. It's good fun.
